These people from DRC works for big tech companies in the world like Lockheed Martin, Boeng, Apple, Huawei and Samsung.

@Jonathan And most companies ignore the standards. People work for small wages and have poor conditions. 😡

@kranfahrer there are middle men or brokers between these miners and companies, mostly Chinese.

@Jonathan @kranfahrer
Middle man is also wrong there is a whole bunch of people between these poor people and the big companies. That's how money gets eaten up.

@mur2501 the person in between these people and companies, are real mess, Chinese are full there, I think(not sure) DRC is top behind Angola in Chinese population in Africa, of late they are owning some of the major mining sites in Eastern and central Africa @kranfahrer

@Jonathan
China is not the only culprit. nearly all of the major natural resources sectors in Africa are someway controlled by foreign powers like USA, China, India, Russia, etc.
@kranfahrer

@mur2501 to be specific, DRC is controlled by Belgians (Belgians got alot powers there, Economic and political), Chinese, USA, Rwanda and Uganda, Uganda is an extension of hand of big brothers(big brothers use Museveni) Rwanda has interests there like big brothers. Russians got Central Africa Republic and Congo Brazzaville(These are countries Russia control in both politically they share Brazzaville with France but France dominate) @kranfahrer

@Jonathan
In short, Africa is still in colonial rule just it doesn't seems that it is from outside.
@kranfahrer

@mur2501 I have very little to blame foreign firms or foreign countries, we have leaders, they're the source of our problems. @kranfahrer

@Jonathan
Corruption is a two way route, the one who eats the money is as evil as the one who gives the money to gain personal benefits.
@kranfahrer

@mur2501 if there are rules set aside by African countries to be followed by mining companies, minimizing bribes and arms sale, these people (African leaders) got shody deals of looking for money through allowing arms sale to rebels in neighboring countries, remember firearms dealers are doing business, marketing their products, the same people who who benefited from millions of dollars on sales of arms, become peace dealers(Museveni and Kagame) @kranfahrer

@Jonathan
Rules and laws are useless written statements if they cannot be implemented or imposed. Also now that has become the truth of politics in Africa, India and other backward nations where politics is just dominated by criminals who just disguise themselves with sweet words of peace and prosperity while doing ghastly acts on the back.
@kranfahrer

@mur2501 Indian companies like pharmaceuticals are very common here, 14 West African countries are controlled by France, African countries maintained good relations with their former colonial masters, in Kenya we are controlled by Brits hence much of Kenya's companies listed in Nairobi Stock Exchange are 80% owned by British. @kranfahrer

@Jonathan
India is the largest pharmaceutical producer in the world so most of the drugs in the market are related to India. Indian mostly has interests in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Namibia, etc.
@kranfahrer

@Jonathan these situations have been going on since colonialism, and have not changed, one can remember the holywood blockbuster on the diamonds trade.. #disastercapitalism
