Umuganda (coming together to achieve a common purpose), is a mandatory national community service practiced in Rwanda.

It's practiced on the last Saturday of every month, where people in Rwanda are required to do farming, plant trees, clean and maintain all public places.

@Jonathan

Do you know how people react to it ?
That's typically the type of thing that can bring good results when people understand they'ell reap the rewards ot this collective work, and bring a heavy-handed and quite perverse top-down discipline (posing as a peer-to-peer one) when the goals of this work are diverted to serve the needs of the few rather than those of the many.

@LienRag
There are oppositions of the same, as you can see president himself is at the forefront of working, critics are there of course.
