If you want to pay an immigrant to come to America to fill a role, great. Pay them what you would pay an American. To do otherwise is a disservice to Americans and immigrants.
If this is not corrected I predict salaries will continue to go down while GDP increases. At the same time student loan default will continue to increase.

Applying for H1B applications and paying the bare minimum (60k) to comply with the law drives down the fair market rate of these positions and creates a negative feedback loop exacerbating the problem.
