Check out our final report from our tech intern, Kofi "Rukky" Oghenerukevwe -- she was able to build, test, and publish a CiviCRM extension that will help the FSF receive Bitcoin and Litecoin payments! u.fsf.org/3bo

Also, I'm hosting my configuration over on codeberg, in case you want to check/roast it. If you have any suggestion please let me know, I pretty much don't know what I'm doing in there 😂😂😂

Update on my journey!
I've been loving it so far, the scheme configuration was a tricky thing to figure out, mainly because of my lack of knowledge on guile, but everything is extensively documented so I just had to read a bit. No issues so far, but I'm still learning how to keep my clean, the /gnu/store/ can get a bit messy sometimes :flan_hacker: :flan_book:

[2 minutes later]

> ohno you already have x installed! use --force to overwrite it!

"I thought you said you /couldn't/ install x?"

All right! Now I know what substitutes are, and I also learned that they should be enabled by default. I also learned how to check if substitutes are available for a package (with guix weather <package>) and I also learned how to roll back and forth between software generations :D Guix is really awesome!

So!... Compiling stuff on guix takes a lot of time :thisisfine: And I think it is because of my hardware...

Libre Speed Test

librespeed.org

The page says "Free and Open Source Speedtest. No Flash, No Java, No Websocket, No Bullshit." and this is the better replacement to SpeedTestdotNet.

I know this one from @selea and @snopyta.

Now that #Fedora34 is out, in #FedoraMagazine they published an article about transparent Btrfs compression, and at the end there's a little guide on how to activate it in case you have updated from #Fedora33 😉️
